Privacy & terms
Written plainly, from what this site actually does. The formal text is being prepared with counsel; until it is published, write to us with any question and we will answer it directly.
What we collect
- On this site
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no account to create. Type is served from this site rather than from a font network, so loading a page tells nobody anything.
- In your browser
- Two small values are stored on your own device and never sent to us: which of the two colour themes you chose, and whether you have seen the opening animation. Clearing your browser data removes both.
- From other hosts
- Cover images are loaded from Earth LinC, and film stills and playback from YouTube's no-cookie domain. Those hosts see your address when they serve you a picture, and each is governed by its own policy. We embed nothing else.
- If you write to us
- We have your email address and whatever you put in the message, for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of having answered.
When you give
Payment is handled by Stripe, on their own pages. Your card details never reach this site and are never stored by us. What we receive afterwards is your name, your email address, the amount and the date — enough to send an acknowledgement and to keep the books. We hold those records for 7 years, which is the ordinary period for a charity’s financial records, and then delete them.
Stripe is a separate company and its handling of your payment is governed by its own privacy policy. A gift made through our page on Every.org is the same: theirs to process, under their own policy.
We do not sell, rent or share donor information, we do not publish donor names, and we run no donor list you can be added to without asking.
Terms of giving
A gift is one-time, in US dollars, any amount, with no earmark, and it buys nothing. Crowning is a separate act, made on Earth LinC by the person themselves, and it is not a donation.
Acknowledgement. One follows by email once a gift completes. Keep it — it is the record of the gift.
Refunds. Gifts are final. If something went wrong — a duplicate, the wrong amount, a card that was not yours — write to us within 30 days and we will put it right.
Tax. YuCROWN Corporation is a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 99-3649964. We provide no goods or services in exchange for a gift.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Jersey, United States.
Crowning happens elsewhere
Anything you crown happens on Earth LinC, not here, and is governed by that protocol’s own terms. This site keeps no account of yours, holds no key of yours, and cannot alter, hide or remove anything you have crowned.
